Trayfoot signs London Irish deal

London Irish have announced the signing of flanker Joe Trayfoot from their Aviva Premiership rivals Harlequins.

Trayfoot, 23, was capped by England at under-16 and under-18 levels, joining Quins' academy system in 2008.

He has made almost 50 appearances for Quins.

Irish operations director Bob Casey said: " Joe is one of the brightest young English talents.

"H e is a top-quality player with a great workrate who we feel can add real strength to our back-row.

"He is an ambitious young player who wants to be part of our future."

Trayfoot becomes Irish's fourth new signing for next season, following Ben Franks, Sean Maitland and Brendan McKibbin.
