Despite the disruption caused by Covid-19, the National Leagues still provided us with some Christmas cheer across Round 15.

Talking Rugby Union were set to be involved with the live streaming of Rams RFC v Chinnor in National One, but a rise in Covid-19 cases means the game has been called off.

Due to the recent surge of Covid-19 cases across the country, several of Round 15’s matches have been called off in the National Leagues.

The Blood and Sand’s excellent victory over Rosslyn Park halted the National One league leaders.

It seems like the narrative is the same every week but the competitiveness on display is making the early title battles hard to ignore.

The gripping title battles in National Two delivered in Round 10 whilst the top three in National One all picked up victories.

Following the first rest week of the season, the National Leagues are back and the battles for top spot in the fourth tier are shaping up nicely.

Rosslyn Park halted Cinderford’s winning streak and they were not the only side to see a good run of form conclude.

It is too early to start discussing a full-blown title race in National One, but with the top four colliding, it is worth screaming about.

It was another weekend of enthralling encounters in the National Leagues as Cinderford maintained their perfect start.

As we move into Round Eight, the National Leagues just keep on giving and there could be more edge of the seat action to come this weekend.

The competitiveness of the National Leagues was on full show in Round Seven with tight scorelines and some scintillating rugby.

With some key meetings at both ends of National One, National Two North and National Two South, we should be set for another relentless weekend.
