Gloucester Rugby scrum-half Tomos Williams has been voted Gallagher Premiership Player of the Month for March following a series of standout performances that have helped drive his side into the top four of the table.

The Welsh international secured 56% of the public vote, comfortably beating Sale Sharks fly-half George Ford and Bath Rugby duo Will Muir and Finn Russell. Williams' all-round brilliance and consistency throughout the month played a pivotal role in Gloucester’s surge up the standings after 13 rounds of action.

Williams currently sits joint-second in the Premiership try scoring charts with seven tries. His creative flair and playmaking ability have also placed him first in total passes, third in line breaks, and earned him eight try assists so far this season.

His performances in March included a dazzling display against Bath Rugby in the highly anticipated Derby Weekend: The Rematch. Despite the team’s defeat, Williams made a huge impact by scoring a try and setting up another.

He followed that up with a stellar showing in the commanding home victory over Bristol Bears, where he added two more try assists—including a remarkable no-look basketball-style pass that set up Seb Atkinson for a try widely regarded as one of the season’s best.

“Tomos has played brilliantly and has been an integral part of the team’s overall performance so far this season. It is a pleasure to present him with the trophy for Gallagher Player of the Month.”

The accolade for Williams adds to Gloucester’s individual honours this season, with teammate Santi Carreras having been named January’s Player of the Month. Previous winners this season include Max Malins (September), Gabriel Ibitoye (October), and Ben Curry (December).
