Sharks and Springbok scrumhalf Jaden Hendriks has been sidelined for at least 10 weeks following a latest injury setback.

Hendrikse sustained a shoulder injury during the club's recently concluded Heineken Champions Cup Round of 16 clash against Munster which they went on to win 50-35.

The 23-year-old has underwent a surgery since then and now will be out of action for a considerable amount of time.

The absence of Hendrikse could see Grant Williams starting at scrum-half for the Sharks in the upcoming Heineken Champions Cup quarter-final against Toulouse on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Sharks are also awaiting news on Springbok lock Ebben Etzebeth, who left the field with injury at the end of the opening half of the game against Munster.

Sharks are positioned eighth in the United Rugby Championship table with eight wins from 16 matches.
