Harlequins have announced that seven players including Joe Gray will be leaving the club ahead at the end of the ongoing 2021/22 season.

Hooker Gray has made 177 appearances for the club spread across two stints but will be retiring from his playing career. He will now take over as head coach of London Scottish.

Jones joined Harlequins in 2021 and has gone on to make 28 appearances for the club till date. He will now be rejoining Glasgow Warriors next season after featuring for them between 2017 and 2021. He has scored 13 tries for Scotland in 32 Tests.

The duo will be joined by Matt Symons, Craig Trenier, Christian Scotland-Williamson, Mak Wilson and Hugh Tizard.

Harlequins head coach Tabai Matson wished the departing players good luck on their future endeavours.

“First of all, I’d like to thank every one of our seven leavers this summer for their dedication to the jersey during their tenures at the Club," said Matson.

“Joe, Matt and Craig hang up their boots at the end of the season and should be immensely proud of their careers as professional athletes – a feat so many strive to achieve.

“Hugh, Christian, Mak and Huw have been fantastic during their times with us and I know all will go on to find great success in their next steps.”
