Worcester Warriors have announced that scrum coach Mark Irish will be leaving the club at end of the ongoing season.

Irish started his coaching career initially with Bristol’s Academy and England Students.

He went on to take the coaching role with the senior squad with Bristol in 2018 before taking over the role of scrum coach with Worcester in 2020.

During his playing career, he made almost 150 appearances for Bristol in an eight-year playing career and also had spells with Bridgwater & Albion, Gloucester Newbury and London Scottish.

“I would like to thank everyone at the club for the last two years,” he told the club's official website.

“I wish Steve Diamond and the team at Warriors all the very best for the future and for their plans on and off the field.”

Worcester are at 12th place in the Gallagher Premiership table after managing just five wins from 23 games.
