Saracens 44-13 London Irish, Allianz Park
Scorecard

A dominating second half performance from Saracens saw them trounce London Irish with a 44-13 bonus point victory in their Aviva Premiership clash at Allianz Park.

The first half went quite sedate for both the teams with Mako Vunipola being the only try-scorer while Owen Farrell slotted two penalties and a conversion to take Sarries to 13 points.

London Irish looked in the game for the first 30 minutes when Tommy Bell slotted two penalties but a sin-bin to their lock Filo Paulo at the stroke of half time meant they had a daunting task of entering the second half with one man down temporarily.

Farrell extended Saracens' advantage with a converted try after the restart but London Irish were unwilling to relent as they negated his effort through a touchdown from David Paice in the 49th minute.

However, Mark McCall's men stepped up the gears and controlled the final 25 minutes with Liam Williams (58'), Chris Wyles (60') and Nathan Earle (65' and 79') all going past the line with Farrell converting two of the last four tries to set up a massive 31 point victory for Saracens.

The win has also meant that Saracens have reclaimed the top position from Exeter Chiefs in the table.
