Saracens have confirmed that fullback Max Malins will spend up to three months on the sidelines following a broken foot.

The 23-year-old sustained the injury during the Gallagher Premiership clash against Exeter Chiefs on 29th December after returning from a similar injury that he suffered last month.

A statement released by the club confirmed that Malins has successfully undergone a surgery on Monday.

"Max Malins-old suffered a broken foot in Saracens’ match at Exeter Chiefs and will be out of action for approximately three months," read the statement.

"Malins had successful surgery on Monday and will now begin a rehabilitation programme".

Meanwhile, Alex Goode is recovering from a chest injury while Liam Williams has been out of action since returning from World Cup with an ankle problem.

Saracens currently are at the bottom of the Gallagher Premiership table with -7 points after they were docked 35 points for a breach in salary cap offence over the last three seasons.
