Rugby Australia chief executive Andy Marinos said the board will be looking to review the "Giteau Law" following their back to back defeats against New Zealand at Eden Park.

The current policy allows overseas bound Australian players with only 60 or more Tests to be eligible for national selection and has been implemented since 2015.

With a 25-33 and 22-57 defeats against the All Blacks, the Wallabies have failed to win the Bledisloe Cup for the 19th consecutive year and Marinos feels relaxing the Giteau Law could provide them a bigger pool of squad to choose from.

"We do need to look into eligibility," he told the Sydney Morning Herald.

"I'm not saying it's going to be alpha and omega. But it will certainly bring a lot more experience and a lot more depth across the board.

"When you look at the pool of talent from which we are selecting in comparison to our biggest rivals; be it New Zealand, South Africa, Argentina, England - they have access and the ability to choose their very best players no matter where they're playing."

Both Australia and New Zealand will be locking horns with each other in the second round of the Rugby Championship to be played in Perth on 28th August.
