Leinster fly-half Ross Byrne has officially signed with Gloucester Rugby for the 2025-26 season.
The experienced playmaker will bring his expertise to the Gallagher Premiership side, reinforcing their squad with his proven ability to control matches at the highest level.
Byrne has been a key figure for Leinster over the past decade, establishing himself as one of the most reliable fly-halves in the game.
During his tenure, he accumulated 1,156 points, making him the province's third-highest all-time points scorer. His contribution helped Leinster secure four United Rugby Championship titles and a Champions Cup victory, cementing his reputation as a top-class performer.
Excited about the next phase of his career, Byrne expressed his enthusiasm for joining Gloucester. “I'm delighted to have signed with Gloucester Rugby for next season. The club's exciting ambitions made it an opportunity I just couldn't pass up.”
Gloucester’s Director of Rugby George Skivington welcomed Byrne’s signing, emphasizing the value he brings to the squad.
“Leinster is quite rightly recognised as a breeding ground for lots of quality players, and Ross is one of the best players they've produced over the last decade.”
Gloucester are positioned third in the Gallagher Premiership table with six wins from 11 matches.
