Australia will miss the services of lock Adam Coleman for the upcoming Rugby Championship clash against New Zealand in Dunedin after he sustained a shoulder injury.

The 25-year-old suffered the blow during training on Thursday and has now been replaced by Brumbies lock Rory Arnold in the starting line-up with uncapped Izack Rodda finding a spot among the replacements and is poised for a Test debut.

Wallabies skipper Michael Hooper described Coleman's loss as 'huge blow'.

“Huge blow,” said Hooper.

“Literally just found out this morning.

“We know he was pushing to the last minute to get it right, even did the lineouts that we did this morning but just couldn’t get there.

“But, in saying that, as always, it opens the door, it’s an opportunity for Rodds there and with Lopeti (Timani) on the bench it’s really strong.”

New Zealand currently are favourites to win the Bledisloe Cup for the 15th consecutive time after they won the encounter in Sydney with a 34-54 margin last weekend.

Australia squad to face New Zealand:

Starting line up: Folau, Haylett-Petty, Kuridrani, Beale, Speight, Foley, Genia, McMahon, Hooper (c), Hanigan, Arnold, Simmons, Alaalatoa, Moore, Sio

Replacements: Polota-Nau, Kepu, Robertson, Rodda, Timani, Phipps, Hodge, Rona
