All Blacks centre Reiko Ioane expressed confidence that his side will be executing the plans better when they take on the Wallabies in the final round of the Rugby Championship in Wellington.
New Zealand had a very tough competition so far having lost the opening game against Argentina apart from two successive defeats against the World Champions South Africa.
They were also challenged by the Wallabies in the fifth round game but eventually managed to get away with a 31-28 victory that also saw them retain the Bledisloe Cup.
"They are a quality attacking side. They attack a lot more than the teams we've played so far.
"They're similar to us in ways. They want to get some air on the ball and they exploited us in some areas, but we'll touch that up. It is nothing big. A lot of it was our poor discipline and execution.
"Apart from the execution, we played the way we wanted to play. We kicked well and attacked when we usually would have kicked in the last couple of weeks.
"We've got the best outsides in the world, and the more we can get it wide and get our loosies ranging in those wide channels, the better off we're going to be. We did that well, but again, it's just those little one-percenters, and it almost cost us."
All Blacks halfback Cortez Ratima echoed Ioane's sentiments.
"The margins are so fine. If you miss a tackle or make a mistake, it tends to punish us. We need to own that last moment and sort out our errors there.
"We've got to be better, and we want to be better."
