Rebels 24-10 Waratahs, AAMI Park
Scorecard

Rebels scored two late tries as they sealed a 24-10 win over Waratahs in the third round Super Rugby clash at AAMI Park on Friday.

This is Rebels' maiden win in the season from three games as they occupy the third position in Australian Conference that has Waratahs at the bottom with three defeats.

Matt Toomua got Rebels off the mark with a sixth minute penalty goal but Waratahs went on to level the scores with a three-pointer from Will Harrison in the 12th minute. Marika Koroibete with his 14th minute try ensured the home side had a five point lead heading into the break.

Waratahs went on to reclaim the lead at the start of the second half with Harry Johnson-Holmes dotting down in the 46th minute followed by a conversion from Will Harrison but it was short-lived as Toomua kicked a penalty kick to make it 11-10.

As Waratahs failed to score any more point, a third penalty goal from Toomua in the 70th minute following double tries from Andrew Kellaway in the final 10 minutes sealed a 14-point win for the home side.
