The Pro14 organisers have confirmed that that the ninth round fixture between Zebre and Benetton have been postponed.

The decision follows after Benetton had reported a 'small number of positive cases' for Covid-19 and as a result the fixture is now being expected to play early next year.

This is the second derby game that is been postponed in this round after Munster's game against Leinster.

“The Round 9 Guinness PRO14 fixture between Zebre Rugby Club and Benetton Rugby has been postponed.

“The game was due to take place on Saturday, December 26 in Parma, however, Benetton have reported a small number of positive cases of Covid-19 from last week. Having considered all of the information available and considered local health guidelines, the PRO14 Rugby Medical Advisory Group has deemed that this fixture cannot go ahead as scheduled.

“PRO14 Rugby will examine potential dates in early 2021 to reschedule the game.”

Zebre currently are at the bottom of Conference A with a solitary win from eight games while Benetton are in the last position in Conference B after losing all their seven matches.
