Scarlets 30-8 Zebre, Parc Y Scarlets
Scarlets continued their unbeaten run in the BKT United Rugby Championship, claiming a 30-8 bonus-point victory over Zebre Parma at Parc y Scarlets.
This victory marks their third consecutive win in the competition, lifting them to fifth place in the standings ahead of the weekend’s remaining matches.
The first half was error-strewn, with Scarlets holding a slim 11-8 lead at the break. Despite early pressure leading to a penalty from Ioan Lloyd, Zebre responded quickly with a Geronimo Prischanitelli drop goal and a try by Ben Cambriani.
Scarlets regained the lead with a well-executed try from Tom Rogers, following a slick move by Eddie James and Taine Plumtree.
The game shifted dramatically in the third quarter, with Scarlets producing two tries in quick succession.
The highlight came when Macs Page scored a stunning solo try, slicing through Zebre's defense from 50 meters out. Shortly after, Plumtree set up his housemate Blair Murray for the third try, thrilling the home crowd.
Scarlets secured their bonus point in the 56th minute when Josh Macleod powered over from a close-range line-out, with Lloyd adding the conversion to extend the lead to 30-8.
From there, Scarlets comfortably saw out the match, securing maximum points for the third straight game.
With this win, Scarlets have demonstrated their attacking prowess and consistency, positioning themselves as strong contenders in the United Rugby Championship this season.
