Premiership Rugby and title sponsor Gallagher have strengthened their long-term partnership by extending their agreement until 2028.
This extension marks a decade of collaboration, playing a pivotal role in advancing and promoting rugby across England.
Gallagher has been the official title sponsor of Premiership Rugby since 2018. In the 2023/24 season, Gallagher introduced the "Right Here for Rugby" initiative, designed to broaden the sport's appeal and attract new audiences across the nation.
The previous season saw the Gallagher Premiership broadcast in 164 countries, reaching more than 100 million fans globally. Partnering with TNT Sports, Gallagher also reported the fastest-ever sold-out final, following the league's closest and most competitive season to date.
Gallagher has partnered with Premiership Rugby to co-fund its community initiative, Project Rugby, which has successfully introduced over 100,000 young people to the sport across England. The program is designed to engage underrepresented groups, including women and girls, people with disabilities, and individuals from ethnically diverse or lower socioeconomic backgrounds.
Premiership Rugby Chief Executive Officer Simon Massie-Taylor expressed delight on the partnership renewal with Gallagher.
“Gallagher has been an incredible partner to Premiership Rugby, and all of our clubs, over the past six years. And this new extension provides important, long-term support for the sport as we write a new chapter together.
“Gallagher and its leadership have demonstrated real commitment and passion for growing the league and we could not have asked for more from a title partner. So I speak on the behalf of everyone at Premiership Rugby and all of our clubs when I say how delighted we are to have renewed our title partnership with Gallagher.
"We look forward to what we can achieve in what will become a decade together in what is fast-becoming one of the most successful partnerships in sport.”
CEO of Gallagher in the UK Michael Rea is pleased with extending the tie up with Premiership Rugby as they aim to continue contributing to the game community.
“I am delighted to renew and extend our partnership with Premiership Rugby. Our relationship over the past six seasons has helped to take the game of rugby to new viewers and participants, from all walks of life, something which we are very proud of.
"For our business, the partnership has helped us to expand the Gallagher name, interact with rugby at all levels of the game, and build a great bond with the rugby community.”
