Munster are likely to be without Ireland international Peter O'Mahony for the upcoming United Rugby Championship against Leinster following a shoulder injury.

The 34-year-old sustained the injury during the game against Stormers on 18th November and has been on the sidelines since then.

Initially, the province had high hopes that O'Mahony would recover in time for last weekend's Champions Cup clash against Exeter. However, they had to face the 32-24 defeat without him.

Munster's next game is scheduled for Tuesday, when they'll host Leo Cullen's side at Thomond Park. Unfortunately, it seems O'Mahony has encountered a setback with his shoulder problem.

Jack O'Donoghue is also in doubt for the upcoming game against Leinster following a hip injury.

Munster are positioned fourth in the United Rugby Championship table after four wins from seven matches. They are also fifth in the Pool 3 table of the Investec Champions Cup with a defeat and a draw apiece in the two matches.
