Leicester Tigers have confirmed that Olly Cracknell has signed a new contract with the club, extending his stay at Mattioli Woods Welford Road.

The number eight joined Tigers from London Irish in the summer of 2022 and has since become a popular figure among supporters for his physical style and work ethic.

Since arriving in Leicester, Cracknell has established himself as a reliable and abrasive presence in the back row.

Cracknell’s form at club level has also been recognised internationally. He was included in his first Wales squad under Steve Tandy and quickly made an impact, earning Player of the Match honours in just his second appearance.

The call-up marked a major milestone in his career, with the back-rower earning his first international cap at the age of 31.

Leicester Tigers head coach Geoff Parling said Cracknell’s journey is an example of resilience and persistence paying off.

What Crackers has achieved is a testament to what you can do through being resilient and persistent throughout your career."

"He's the ultimate example of that by going on to be capped by Wales at the age of 31 and gives absolutely everything when he pulls on a Tigers shirt."

"He's also an outstanding human to have in the changing room and is a real barometer for myself of where the group is at."
