England have included Harlequins coach Nick Evans in the backroom staff for the Six Nations tournament.

Evans, who has played over 200 times for the Quins between 2008 and 2017 and joined them as an attack coach following his playing career.

He was part of their coaching set up when they clinched the Premiership title in 2021 and featured 16 times for the All Blacks.

The 42-year-old will return back to his role with Harlequins following the conclusion of the Six Nations tournament.

“Nick brings with him a wealth of different experiences as a player and coach, which will be incredibly valuable to the growth of our team," said England coach Steve Borthwick.

“We aim to build an England team that our nation can be proud of, and I know that our supporters will be very excited by what Nick can bring to our side.

"We’d particularly like to thank Harlequins for their support in allowing Nick to work with us during this period. It’s a great example of club and country working together.”

England will kick-start their Six Nations 2023 tournament with a clash against Scotland at Twickehnam Stadium on 4th February.
