New Zealand Rugby unveil schedule for Super Rugby Aotearoa 2021

New Zealand Rugby has confirmed the fixtures for the 2021 season of Super Rugby Aotearoa that will kick-off in February.

There will be a total of 10 rounds with each teams having four home and away games along with two byes. The opening round begin on 26th February with Highlanders hosting defending champions Crusaders in Dunedin with Hurricanes and Blues locking horns on 27th February at Sky Stadium.

The final will be played on 8th May which will see the top two teams in action.

“We saw how exciting this home and away format was last year, and all five teams now know what’s required to compete and win every week," said Lendrum.

"With the availability of the All Blacks locked in for round one there are going to be fireworks from the opening whistle.

“It’s fantastic to have some certainty for fans, players and partners after what’s been a year of uncertainty.

"Confirming the 2021 draw is a significant milestone and a positive step for rugby in New Zealand and we’re thrilled to have our broadcast partner come on board as naming rights sponsor.”
