New Zealand centre David Havili to miss upcoming Rugby Championship

New Zealand centre David Havili will miss the upcoming Rugby Championship competition due to a hamstring injury.

The 28-year-old sustained the injury while playing for Crusaders in the recently concluded Super Rugby game against New South Wales Waratahs which his side went on to win 42-18.

His Crusaders teammate Cullen Grace is also set to miss the remainder of the Super Rugby season after a knee dislocation.

Crusaders head coach Scott Robertson confirmed the news on the duo.

"Both are out for the Super campaign, unfortunately," said Robertson.

"Really disappointed for them. They're such big contributors to our team and really important parts of it."

The news will be a big blow to Crusaders as well with Fletcher Newell, Joe Moody, George Bower and Sevu Reece are sidelined with injuries and will miss the remainder of the ongoing campaign.

New Zealand will kick start their Rugby Championship campaign with a clash against Argentina on 8th July.
