Munster have announced the signing of centre Alex Nankivell ahead of the 2023/24 season.

The 26-year-old made his professional rugby debut with provincial side Tasman in 2015 and went on to make his Super Rugby debut with Chiefs in 2017 featuring 58 times for them.

He also represented Maori All Blacks against Fiji and Ireland XV apart from representing All Blacks XV in the games against Ireland A and Barbarians.

Nankivell will join Munster on a two-year deal from the 2023/24 season.

Meanwhile, the province also confirmed that front row duo Stephen Archer and Dave Kilcoyne have signed one-year Archercontract extensions with the club.

Archer is Munster's second most-capped player in the province with 255 appearances. The 35-year-old, who also represented Ireland in two games, is 13 appearances short of equalling Donncha O’Callaghan’s record 268 Munster appearances.

Meanwhile, Kilcoyne recently earned his 50th cap with Ireland and has 213 Munster appearances to his name.
