England coach Eddie Jones has handed Max Malins his first Test start for the fourth round Six Nations clash against France to be played at Twickenham Stadium on Saturday.

Malins, who joined Bristol Bears on loan from Saracens will start at fullback with Elliot Daly dropping to the bench. Anthony Watson is set to make his 50th appearance for England and has retained his position at right wing with Jonny May on left.

Skipper Owen Farrell will continue to be at inside centre with George Ford at fly-half and Ben Youngs at scrum half.

The other two changes in the starting XV from the defeat against Wales sees Charlie Ewels replacing Jonny Hill at second row where he joins Maro Itoje while Jamie George makes way for Luke Cowan-Dickie in the front-row.

“This France game is one we are really looking forward to," said Jones.

“We are of course disappointed that we can’t defend the championship, but that makes this an even more important game. We want to show what we are capable of.

“The squad have competed really hard in training since Sunday. I believe this is the best 23 to really take the game to France and get us on the front foot.”
