Edinburgh came up with a dominating performance as they secured a home tie in the last 16 of the European Challenge Cup after beating Pau 54-5 in their clash at DAM Health Stadium.

The result meant Edinburgh finished at the top of Pool C with 15 points as they progress to the next stage along with London Irish and Saracens in the group.

It took Edinburgh just three minutes to open their account as Stuart McInally dived over the line at the back of a rolling maul and Jaco van der Walt followed with the conversion.

The Scottish club further extended their lead as Connor Boyle scored his first try in the 10th minute before getting his second in the 20th minute as their maul proved dominating once again taking the score to 19-0.

The bonus point for Edinburgh came around the half-hour mark as Ramiro Moyano sent a chip kick allowing Henry Pyrgos to dot down and at the stroke of half-time, WP Nel also went over from close range as the opening half ended with the home side scoring 33 unanswered points.

Edinburgh extended their momentum into the second half as Pyrgos returning the favour from the first half, chipping a kick over the top that Moyano, who touched down making it 40-0. As the game entered the final 10 minutes, Chris Dean offloaded well to Matt Currie who burst through the defence, before offloading to give Pierce Phillips for a simple try.

Even though Thomas Carol opened the French side's account with a try in the 77th minute, Moyano showed a brilliant solo display as he went over for the second time in the game to complete a massive 54-5 win for Edinburgh.
