Harlequins forward Matas Jurevicius has signed a new deal with the Gallagher Premiership club.

The 21-year-old made his senior debut with the Quins in late 2020 during the Premiership Rugby Cup against Saracens and has featured in eight games for the club.

He also had represented London Scottish side in the past.

“I’m over the moon to sign a new deal here with Harlequins," he told in a statement released by the club.

"It’s been an invaluable opportunity to join a team that has helped me to develop my game and take a step up in my career.

“I’ve been fortunate to play in two of the top club competitions in the world within a team that plays the kind of rugby every athlete wants to be part of. I’m delighted to recommit to Quins and am excited for what the future holds with the Club.”

Lineout and Defence Coach Jerry Flannery is delighted with Jurevicius extending his stay at the club.

“It’s great to have Matas sign on again. He’s a dynamic young guy that has taken the opportunities that have come his way lately with both hands.

“Matas is the kind of energetic, athletic forward that suits the Harlequins Way of playing so well and we’re excited to see him compete within a strong group of forwards and continue his development.”

Harlequins are positioned third in the Gallagher Premiership table with 12 wins from 19 games.
