Scotland international Magnus Bradbury has been appointed as the captain of Edinburgh side for the upcoming season.

Bradbury joined Edinburgh in 2015 and recently signed a three year deal with the club. He also led Edinburgh to a victory over Newcastle Falcons in the pre-season clash on Friday.

“I’m over the moon with the news. However, it doesn’t really change much for myself," said Bradbury.

“I just want to keep my head down, keep doing what I’m doing, and keep working hard with the boys, and hopefully we’ll get the results when the season starts this week.

“Cockers [Head Coach Richard Cockerill] has always said to me to lead by example and I would say I’m more that sort of guy.

"I would rather say something then do it, rather than ask other boys to do it. I’m definitely about actions more than words.”

The 22-year-old, who was part of the Scotland 7s and Scotland U20 teams made his debut with the senior team in November 2016 against Argentina and has played two Tests so far.
