Harlequins have confirmed a significant end-of-season shake-up with 18 players set to depart the club, including Welsh legend Leigh Halfpenny.

The 36-year-old full-back, who joined the London outfit last summer, has made just 10 appearances in his lone season at The Stoop and is now poised for a move to French Pro D2 side Béziers.

Halfpenny, a former mainstay for Wales, the British & Irish Lions, and clubs such as Scarlets, Toulon, and Cardiff, brought veteran experience and composure to the Harlequins backline, though injuries and rotation limited his impact in English domestic action.

His exit marks another chapter in a remarkable professional career that has spanned more than 17 years at the top level.

He is joined on the departure list by retiring scrum-half Danny Care, whose legendary 19-year stint at Quins will come to an emotional close.

The 37-year-old fan favourite leaves behind an unmatched legacy, including nearly 400 appearances and multiple Premiership titles.

England centre Will Joseph and back-row forward Will Trenholm are both heading to Gloucester, while hooker Nathan Jibulu has been snapped up by Sale Sharks.

Welsh international props Wyn Jones and Dillon Lewis will return to Wales with the Dragons, continuing their careers in the United Rugby Championship.

Second-row Irne Herbst is set to join French side CA Brive, and Dino Lamb is also reportedly close to sealing a move to the same club. Centre Lennox Anyanwu will also exit the Stoop, with reports linking him to Montpellier.

In addition to these headline moves, Quins have confirmed the exits of Caleb Ashworth, Charlie Clare, Lewis Gjaltema, Tom Golder, George Hammond, George Head, Archie White, and Roma Zheng — many of whom have contributed solid depth and energy to the squad across seasons.
