Leicester Tigers have announced the signing of Cardiff back-rower Olly Robinson on loan for the remainder of the 20221/22 season.

Robinson started his professional rugby career with Moseley in 2012 and went on to represent Bristol ahead of the 2014/15 season when his father Andy Robinson was the club's director of rugby.

The 30-year-old made a switch to Cardiff in 2017 and now will make a return to the Premiership to be part of the Tigers for the remainder of the ongoing campaign.

"Olly is an experienced player, who has played top-level rugby in both England and Wales as well as having been a part of a Barbarians squad," said Borthwick to the club's official website.

"With the Six Nations seeing members of our squad away for two months, Olly provides valuable depth in our forward pack and is the type of player we want at Leicester Tigers.

"I want to thank Dai Young and the Cardiff for how smooth the process has been in granting Olly the release for the loan to take place.

"He's a tough, hard-working young man with a great character and a want to learn and improve, who will add to Leicester Tigers on and off the field."

Leicester Tigers hold the top position in the Gallagher Premiership table with 11 wins from 12 games.
