Leicester Tigers 24 - 12 Cardiff Blues

Leicester Tigers managed to return back to winning ways as they defeated Cardiff Blues with a 24-12 victory in their Anglo-Welsh Cup encounter.

Leicester Tigers now have won two and lost one as they move to the second position in Pool 4 as they keep their chances of progressing to the play-off alive.

Joe Ford kicked a second minute penalty to kick the proceedings for the Tigers but Cardiff Blues suffered a setback when Corey Domachowski was sin-binned in the 20th minute.

The Welford unit made use of the numerical advantage as Will Evans crossed over in the 21st minute and despite Domachowski's return, the third try for Leicester came through Jordan Olowofela in the 31st minute. Ford kicked conversions on both the occasions as Leicester ended the first half with a 17-0 lead.

Cardiff Blues finally managed to break the shackles when Jack Roberts went past the line in the 52nd minute while Shingler slotted the extras. Lewis Jones reduced the arrears to five points with a 60th minute try but Luke Hamilton responded with a try of his own to complete a 12 point victory for the Leicester Tigers.
