Leicester Tigers have granted an early release to back-rower Thom Smith with immediate effect.
Smith made his debut for Leicester Tigers in the Premiership Rugby Cup in October 2018 and two years later went on to make his debut for the club in the Premiership.
In August 2020 he became Leicester's youngest captain in a league game when he led the side against Gloucester and has made 10 senior appearances for the club.
The 22-year-old joined opening months of the 2021/22 season on loan with Doncaster Knights and now will join the Championship club on a full-time contract.
Leicester Tigers are currently holding the top position in the Gallagher Premiership table with eight wins from as many games and will face Harlequins next.
