The weather descended on the Edgehill Sports complex in West Lancashire; the net result wind and rain, where the first 15s from Edgehill and Lancaster were playing their BUCS Northern 2A game.

Talking Rugby Union was there to follow the progress.

Edgehill University is one of the newest universities in the UK and their investment in state of the art sports facilities was there for all to see; the pitch being a 3G/4G surface.

The camera also revealed some pretty heavyweight front rows for both teams.

In the centre Lancaster possess a very talented player in Elliot Burton, also seen playing for Tarleton.

Elsewhere in Northern 2A, Keele beat Bangor 14-6 away from home, Liverpool 2s beat MMU (Manchester) 19-12 and Manchester 2s beat Liverpool 3s 19-0 away from home.
