La Rochelle maintained their dominance in the ongoing European Rugby Challenge Cup as they trounced RC Enisei 64-26 at Stade Marcel Deflandre on Friday.

The win has kept La Rochelle at the top of of Pool 4 with two bonus-point victories while RC Enisei are at third with a solitary point to their campaign.

La Rochelle had a terrific start to their campaign as they amassed back to back tries in the first six minutes with winger Paul Jordaan (3') and Jone Qovu Nailiko (6') crossing over and Maxime Lafage slotted the extras on both the occasion to take their tally to 14 points.

The visitors responded back with a try from Alexei Shcherban in the 19th minute only to be negated by fullback Romaric Camou's effort six minutes later as the home side maintained their 14-point lead.

However, RC Enisei's hope were dented when they were reduced to 14-men after number eight Maxim Gargalic was red-carded in the 27th minute and La Rochelle made full use of the opportunity as Brieuc Plessis-Couillaud (30'), Camou (37') and Gregory Alldritt (40') all scored tries.

Uldis Saulite provided some respite for RC Enisei when he touched down in the 35th minute but things looked bleak for them as La Rochelle had a 40-12 lead heading into the break.

With an extra player on their side, La Rochelle extended their domination further with further tries from Kevin Gourdon (52'), Thomas Berjon (55'), Jean Charles Orioli (67') and Mohamed Boughanmi (77') as they took their tally to 64 points while RC Enisoe managed to gain a bonus point with Sergey Sekisov (74') and Saulite (80') going over the line.

La Rochelle and RC Enisei will face Bristol and Zebre respectively in the third round of the competition on 8th December.
