Wasps number eight Nathan Hughes will miss England's final autumn international game against Samoa following a knee injury.

A statement released by the Rugby Football Union confirmed that the 26-year-old has been released from the squad to his club and will need around three to four weeks of rehabilitation.

Bath pair Jonathan Joseph and Anthony Watson, Worcester's Ben Te'o along with Tom Dunn, George Kruis, Zach Mercer, Marcus Smith and Denny Solomona have also been released by England coach Eddie Jones as he retained a 25-member squad for the Saturday's encounter.

England have already registered victories against Argentina and Australia in the ongoing autumn international campaign and will be hoping to end the season on a high when they face Samoa at Twickenham on Saturday.
