Kiran McDonald will leave Newcastle Falcons this summer to pursue a new playing opportunity overseas, the club has officially announced.
The 30-year-old second-row forward, who has spent the last two seasons on Tyneside, is set to begin a new chapter in his rugby career abroad.
McDonald made 32 appearances for Newcastle Falcons during his time at the club, bringing physicality, lineout expertise, and valuable experience to the pack.
Before joining the Falcons, he had stints with Munster, Wasps, and Glasgow Warriors, building a solid resume across multiple competitive leagues.
Director of Rugby Steve Diamond paid tribute to McDonald’s contribution and wished him well on his upcoming move.
“This is a great life experience opportunity for Kiran and his young family.
"I’d like to thank him for all his efforts during his time with us here in Newcastle, and wish him all the best for his move.”
