Lee Jones has signed a one-year contract with Glasgow that also allows the winger to play for Scotland Sevens.

The 26-year-old joined Glasgow on loan from Edinburgh in February and has made his move across the M8 more permanent.

Jones has four full international caps and played six times for Glasgow last season, scoring a try against Cardiff Blues in Wales.

Jones, who scored seven tries at the Commonwealth Games, said: "Playing for Glasgow Warriors and Scotland Sevens is the best of both worlds for me.

"I've enjoyed life at Glasgow and managed to get a few games last season which was really enjoyable.

"It's a club on the up and seeing the level of support in Dublin at the Pro12 final showed that. I want to challenge for a starting place at Glasgow."

Warriors head coach Gregor Townsend said: "It's great news for the club that Lee will be available to train and play with us next season, while also continuing his involvement with Scotland Sevens.

"He has really impressed since joining the club last season and this is a great opportunity for him to challenge our other wingers for a regular starting place."
