Joe Launchbury surprised by British and Irish Lions exclusion

Wasps captain Joe Launchbury expressed disappointment on missing out on the British and Irish Lions squad for the upcoming tour of New Zealand in June.

Head coach Warren Gatland announced the squad a 41-man squad for the gruelling 10-game tour that comprised of 16 players from England, 12 from Wales, 11 from Ireland and two from Scotland.

Despite, tipped as one of the favourites by various pundits to make it to the Lions, Launchbury failed to make the cut and he was mystified by his exclusion.
