Bristol Bears have confirmed the signing of Irish international fly-half Harry Byrne on a short-term loan from Leinster Rugby.

Byrne, who has earned recognition for his dynamic playmaking skills, joins the Bears as they navigate a crucial period in their campaign. The 24-year-old is known for his tactical kicking, vision, and ability to control the game from the fly-half position.

Commenting on the signing, Bristol Bears Director of Rugby Pat Lam expressed his enthusiasm for Byrne’s arrival.

“We’re thrilled to bring in a player of Harry’s caliber at this important stage of the season,” Lam stated.

“His international experience and game management will be a valuable addition to our squad as we aim to build momentum in both domestic and European competitions.”

Byrne has already amassed considerable experience with Leinster Rugby, featuring in high-pressure matches across the United Rugby Championship and European Champions Cup.

The loan move to Bristol presents an opportunity for Byrne to gain more game time while contributing to the Bears' ambitions.

Bristol currently sit in a competitive position in the Gallagher Premiership table and are aiming for a strong finish to the season.
