Saracens have announced that prop Harvey Beaton has signed a long-term contract with the Gallagher Premiership club.

A product of Saracens Academy, Beaton has made five appearances for the club and will be spending with Cornish Pirates on loan next season.

He also was part of the England Under 18 side that toured South Africa during the 2018/19 season and he was also picked for the 2019 Six Nations festival.

“I’m really excited to join Pirates for the season. It’s a good club with a lot of history behind it. I’m looking forward to working with Alan Paver to really develop my set piece game and just get week in week out rugby to expand my knowledge as much as possible.”

Saracens director of rugby Mark McCall expressed delight in Beaton committing his long term future with the club.

“We’re thrilled that Harvey has committed to the club on a long term deal. He is a great character who has shown potential already and we believe there is plenty to come from him over the coming years.

I’m sure his season with Cornish Pirates will be invaluable in his development, they are a club that we have huge respect for and we are looking forward to seeing him grow as a player and a person.”
