Northampton Saints have confirmed that utility back Harry Mallinder has penned a new contract with the Aviva Premiership club until 2020.

Mallinder, son of club's rugby director Jim, made his professional rugby debut with the Saints in 2013 and was part of the Eddie Jones' England squad that toured Argentina in June.

The 21-year-old also led England U20s to a World Rugby Under 20 Championship title victory in Manchester last year.

"Northampton are my only club and I never considered going anywhere else. I'm extremely positive about what is to come over the next few years," Mallinder said.

Northampton Saints are at third position in the Aviva Premiership table after winning four out of the six games and will host Wasps next at Franklin's Gardens on Saturday.
