Harlequins have announced that back-row James Chisholm has penned a new deal with the Gallagher Premiership club.

Chisholm joined Harlequins Academy in 2013 and has overall made 149 appearances of the club scoring 19 tries. He made his senior debut for the club in the Anglo-Welsh club against Exeter Chiefs in the same year. He also played a key role in the 2020/21 Gallagher Premiership title, scoring a try in the famous 36-43 semi-final win over Bristol Bears.

“It’s a very exciting time to be a Quin. This season has been very enjoyable, we’ve had some special memories, and the energy amongst the squad is incredibly exciting," he told the club's official website.

"We’re building something special, and I can’t wait to embark on the next chapter of my career, playing in front of the best fans in the league, and achieving more memories together.”

Harlequins Director of Rugby Billy Millard is delighted with Chisholm remaining with the club on what will be his 12th season.

"Chis is a highly respected member of our squad, he’s a fantastic leader and demonstrates the Quins DNA through his hard work and determination to succeed.

"We love having Chis in our squad, he’s a terrific character but also a very important player who continues to work exceptionally hard to improve his game.”
