Scotland head coach Gregor Townsend has expressed confidence in his team’s ability to perform under pressure as they prepare for their final Six Nations match against France at the Stade de France.

Despite the challenging atmosphere expected in Paris, Townsend is backing his players to embrace the occasion and deliver a strong performance.

Townsend acknowledged the difficulty of the task ahead but insisted that his side can rise to the challenge.

"France are a top side, they have been one of the best teams in the world for the last three years. But we’ve competed with them really well over the last few years and we know we have the ability to win these games," he said.

Scotland has made adjustments to their lineup for this crucial fixture. Gregor Brown earns his first Six Nations start, bringing extra physicality to the forward pack, while Matt Fagerson returns to strengthen the back row.

Townsend is confident his team will handle the pressure and take advantage of the occasion.

"Playing in Paris is one of the best experiences a rugby player can have. It will be a hostile environment, but we’ll thrive in that.

"We’ll have to deliver our best performance of the championship to win, but I believe in this group and what they can do on Saturday," he added.
