Glasgow Warriors have secured the services of rising star Gregor Brown until at least the summer of 2027, with the versatile forward signing a new contract to extend his stay at Scotstoun.

Brown, 23, has enjoyed a breakout season and continues to impress both domestically and on the international stage.

Having joined the club’s academy in 2019, the Aberdeen native made his professional debut in 2021 against Leinster. Since then, he has clocked up 31 appearances and played a pivotal role in several key fixtures, including the BKT United Rugby Championship Grand Final in 2024.

His recent standout performance off the bench against Munster, where he secured two crucial turnovers, underlined his value in both the second-row and back-row.

Reflecting on his journey and new deal, Brown said: “I’m buzzing, to be honest. It was a really easy decision. I grew up supporting Glasgow Warriors and watched the team lift the 2015 title, so to be a part of a league-winning squad with this club last season was a real dream come true.

"It was unreal and something I’ll never forget.”

He added praise for the coaching team and the development culture at the club: “I feel like I’ve really developed my game since signing as a professional here.

"The coaching group of Franco, Pete [Murchie] and Nige [Carolan] are a world-class group, who have all been so important for my own development. They’ve really pushed my game on and I owe a lot to them for helping me kick on.”

Brown’s impressive form earned him a senior Scotland debut during the 2024 summer tour in a win over Canada, followed by a strong showing in the 2025 Guinness Six Nations, including a starting role at Stade de France. His rise from academy graduate to international starter has been swift, yet he remains focused on continued growth.

Head coach Franco Smith lauded Brown’s progress: “Gregor’s development has been extremely impressive over the last two seasons, and we are delighted to retain a player of his potential.

"He is someone who is willing to give their all to be a Glasgow Warrior.”
