Saracens have announced that scrum-half Gareth Simpson will rejoin the Gallagher Premiership club ahead of the 2023/24 season.

Simpson made his professional rugby debut with Worcester Warriors in 2019 and has gone on to make 45 appearances for the club.

After his contract was terminated when the Warriors entered into administration, the 25-year-old joined Saracens on a loan stint and impressed for the club during his time at StoneX Stadium.

He will now head back to Saracens on a two-year deal after his stint with Western Force for the remainder of the 2022/23 season.

“I can’t wait to get back into the environment at Saracens. It is a great club and I really enjoyed my time there," he told the club's official website.

"I am looking forward to continuing to learn and grow my game with some amazing players and coaches around me and am really grateful for the opportunity.”

Saracens director of rugby Mark McCall is delighted with Simpson joining the club in the summer.

“Gareth made a brilliant impact during his first spell here and we are delighted that he is returning to us.

He showed his quality both on and off the pitch and we believe he will have a great impact on the group.”
