France came up with a dominant performance at Estadio Monumental Jose on Saturday to trounce Argentina 27-0 in the second Test and levelled the series 1-1.

This was the first time Argentina failed to score a point against France since 1949. The first point in the game came in the 25th minute when fly-half Baptiste Serin scored a penalty goal.

France were gaining confidence as the game progressed and at the stroke of the first-half hooker Hugo Bonneval with a pass from Serin scored the first try in the game. At the end of 40 minutes, France were leading 13-0.

The France attacked gained momentum in the second half when Remi Lamerat crossed the line in the 50th minute which was converted by Serin.

In the 62nd minute Louis Picamoles and fellow loose forward Loann Goujon teamed together to score the third try during which Argentina lock Tomas Lavanini was sin-binned as well.

However, France couldn’t capitalise on Lavanini’s sin-bin as they failed to score a single point in the final 18 minutes but the 27-0 victory helped them level the series after the first game was won by the Pumas in a convincing 30-19 margin.
