France fly-half Romain Ntamack is set to undergo surgery following a double jaw fracture that he suffered while playing for French club Toulouse.

The 21-year-old was forced to leave the field in the 67th minute during the recently concluded Top14 game against Bordeaux Begles and now is set to go under the knife.

The news was confirmed by Ntamack on his social media handle.

“Following a blow to the jaw which occurred in the first half of the match between Toulouse and Bordeaux the examinations show a double fracture of the jaw,” Ntamack tweeted.

“I will have to undergo an operation and be away from the field for a few weeks.”

Ntamack has played 18 Tests for France since his international debut that came in the 2019 Six Nations and also played four games in the World Cup campaign last year.
