London Wasps have again been in action in the transfer market, this time bolstering their back line with the inclusion of Scottish international fly-half Ruaridh Jackson.

The news comes just hours after it was unveiled that Italian prop Lorenzo Cittadini has joined the London side from Benetton Treviso.

The 26-year-old playmaker will join the Wasps and the Aviva Premiership this summer following on from six years with Glasgow Warriors.

Jackson was the latest signing after a lot of transfer market action this year, which also includes Welsh lock Bradley Davies and Sale Sharks pair Rob Miller and James Gaskell.

Jackson, who made his international debut in 2010, has won 23 caps for Scotland and follows his fellow Test half-back Greig Laidlaw into the Premiership after Laidlaw recently agreed terms with Gloucester.

"I am very excited about joining Wasps," Jackson said.

"I have been at Glasgow a long time now, but I am now relishing this new challenge that lies ahead.

And Wasps rugby director David Young added: " I have been very impressed with what I have seen of Ruaridh, and I am looking forward to welcoming him to the club.

"He will add to the quality pool of 10s we already have, and the competition for that position next season will be very strong."
