Fiji's problems in the ongoing Autumn Nations Cup have compounded after their third round fixture against Scotland also cancelled following the outbreak of Covid-19.

This is the third consecutive game involving Fiji that has been called-off following their encounters against France and Italy.

Earlier, Fiji squad had reported five positive cases ahead of the first round and the numbers rose to 29 in the latest round and as a result, the players were advised 10-day isolation period which puts them effectively out of the game against Scotland scheduled on 28th November.

With France already awarded 28-0 bonus-point win after their game against Fiji was called-off, Italy and Scotland are also set to receive five points which means Vern Cotter's men are set to finish at the bottom of Group B.

"While this is very disappointing news, we support the decision to cancel the game and wish a speedy recovery to those affected in the Fijian squad.

"Our focus remains fully on Sunday's match against France."
