Immanuel Feyi-Waboso has been named in England's 36-man squad for the upcoming summer tour of Argentina and the USA, despite serving a two-match suspension.

The 22-year-old winger was red-carded for a dangerous high tackle during an uncapped fixture against France, resulting in a ban that will keep him out of both Tests against Argentina on July 5 and 12.

However, Feyi-Waboso remains eligible to feature in England's third and final match of the tour against the USA on July 19, provided he completes World Rugby’s mandatory “tackle school” intervention programme.

The initial three-match suspension was reduced to two as a result of his willingness to participate in the coaching initiative.

Despite the ban, head coach Steve Borthwick has opted not to replace Feyi-Waboso in the squad. Instead, the coaching staff has shown continued belief in the Exeter Chiefs player, signalling their view of him as a key long-term asset for England's backline.
Cover on the wings will be provided by Will Muir, Cadan Murley, and Tom Roebuck.

The decision to retain Feyi-Waboso despite the disciplinary setback underscores England’s strategy of nurturing emerging talent while balancing short-term tour objectives with long-term development.

With 13 senior England players currently on British & Irish Lions duty, the summer tour is being seen as a golden opportunity for newer faces to step up.

The squad features ten uncapped players, including Charlie Atkinson, Seb Atkinson, Emmanuel Iyogun, Guy Pepper, Luke Northmore, and Max Ojomoh.

Co-captained by Jamie George and George Ford, the squad retains a blend of experience and youth.

Ford, on the verge of his 100th Test cap, will play a pivotal leadership role, alongside established names like Henry Slade, Freddie Steward, Sam Underhill, and Jack van Poortvliet.

Coach Borthwick has framed the tour as a key developmental phase, akin to England’s 2017 tour that helped launch the careers of Tom Curry and Sam Underhill.

With three Tests scheduled—two against Argentina and one against the USA—England aim to build depth and test new combinations.
