Fans will be able to return to Eden Park in Auckland during the second Bledisloe Cup Test between New Zealand and Australia scheduled on 18th October.

The final game of the Super Rugby Aotearoa between Blues and Crusaders was cancelled in the venue following an increase in Covid-19 cases and increase in restrictions following which the North v South game was also moved out of Auckland to Wellington.

However, with the government announcing that Auckland will be reduced to Level One Alert this week, fans will be allowed to witness the game in the stadium for the high profile clash later this month.

“Auckland fans missed out on both the North v South match last month and the Blues v Crusaders match so this is positive news that they will be able to enjoy Test match rugby," said NZR general manager professional rugby and performance Chris Lendrum.

“With only two opportunities to watch the All Blacks play in New Zealand this year, and both matches being on Sunday afternoons, we are sure fans will enjoy both occasions.

“There is a real buzz growing in Wellington and around the country as the home Bledisloe Cup series is about to get underway. Just under 28,000 tickets have sold for Sunday so we encourage fans to make sure they get in quick.”

The opening game of the series will be played in Wellington on 11th October following which they will lock horns in Auckland for the second game on 18th October before heading to Australia for the Rugby Championship.
