England Women 60-3 Italy Women

England Women came up with a dominating display as they demolished Italy with a 60-3 margin to finish their November Quilter Internationals unbeaten.

It took England just five minutes to score the opening try as Vicky Fleetwood dotted down at the back of a driving maul but Emily Scarrett missed the conversion.

Italy pulled back things with a penalty kick from Michela Sillari in the 15th minute but they could not find any more breakthrough in the remainder of the game.

The start of the second quarter saw Poppy Cleall and Heather Kerr going over the line while Scarratt kicked the extras on one occasion and with Abby Dow also joining the try-scoring list at the stroke of half-time the first half finished with a 22-3 scoreline.

It took England just nine minutes to get off the block in the second half with a converted try from Scarratt and just as Italy were reduced to 14 players with a sin bin to Lucia Cammarano, the red rose team made full use of the numerical advantage with further tries from Kerr (61') and Amy Cokayne (64') to make the scoreline 43-3.

Their momentum took a further shot in the arm as they reached the 50 point mark with a penalty try in the 70th minute while tries from Rownita Marston and Sarah Bern also got their names on the try sheet as Simon Middleton's side completed a massive 60-3 win.
